And it would appear that big bosses at ITV have had a major brainwave – as we’ll now be able to tune into our very favourite breakfast show on Sundays too!

Confirming that the nations best-loved show will be airing six days a week, co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby made the surprising announcement during today’s edition of the show.

The hugely popular presenters confirmed that stand-in Friday hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will be fronting the new Sunday slot.

Giving viewers a grin – Phil said, “We have an exciting announcement to make for Sunday mornings with a weekend episode of This Morning!”

Continuing, the telly star then explained that the new weekend slot will trace the funny moments and highlights from that week, with some exclusive guests thrown in for good measure.

“Eamonn and Ruth will be taking you through the highlights of This Morning from that week with some exclusive guests and lots of weekend treats,” he added.

A gleeful Holly then chimed in, “It’s official, we’re going to be in the telly six days a week!

“Lazy Sunday mornings couldn’t get any better.”

As expected, loyal viewers of the BAFTA-award winning show have shared their delight at the news on social media.

“OMG what six days? #ThisMorning,” shared one user.

Another keen viewer added, “What the hell ITV, why not go seven days a week #ThisMorning.”

Ruth and Eamonn have also shared their excitement at their new schedule.

“We’ll be there on Sunday’s to put the cherry on top of your best This Morning bits of the week,” shared Eamonn.

“Not only will anything you’ve missed be featured, but Ruth and I will also be adding our own fresh content that you won’t have seen!”
