As the new series of Strictly Come Dancing gets ready to kick off in September, professional dancer Karen has announced some more exciting news.
Karen Clifton took to Instagram this week to reveal that she’s welcomed a brand new member to her family – adorable rescue dog, Marley.
Sharing a sweet photo on the new pup next to her dog Betty, the 36-year-old wrote, “Great first day of bonding for my two lil bears… Betty & Marley.”
She then added the hastags, “#adoptdontshop #bonding #rescuedogs#family”.
And fans of the star couldn’t wait to comment on the photo, as one wrote, “What a gorgeous pair, may they bring you and each other lots of happy mischief! Xx”
“They’re so cute!! Enjoy them xx”, said another, and a third agreed, “OMG there both so cute ❤😍x”.
Karen is certainly going to have her hands full with her new dog, as she’s also currently in the middle of rehearsing for Strictly.
While we don’t know who she’s paired up with yet, the star-studded line up includes the likes of Blue singer Lee Ryan, actor Danny John-Jules, and GMB medic Dr Ranj Singh.
Meanwhile, during the glitzy Strictly launch earlier this week, Karen put on a united front with her ex Kevin Clifton as they danced together for the crowds.
Despite confirming their split in March, the husband and wife duo showed they were still on good terms as they shared a sexy latin routine.
While Karen was wearing a skimpy sequinned bra, Kevin leant his former flame down as she lifted her leg in the air.
After their break up, Karen revealed the pair would still be working together, as she said: “I respect and admire Kevin as a performer, a human being, and I’ve always looked up to him, that will never stop. We want to be positive in all of this.
“Our friendship was built on our passion for dance. Dance is the glue that holds us together.”
And it looks like she’s very much focused on her work and family life, as when recently asked about her love life, Karen told MailOnline: “The only person I’m dating is my dog Betty and that’s the only person I’m seeing, who I love very much. I have zero time to look for love.”
