It’s hard to think of Samantha Womack and not instantly think of her feisty Eastenders character Ronnie Mitchell, so imagine our surprise when the actress showcased a slightly different look than usual.

The actress stunned fans recently when she debuted new brunette locks on her Twitter.

Sam captioned her latest snap: ‘Girl on the train is darker….’.

And, fans of the 45-year-old were loving her new look, with one person writing: ‘Stunning – really suits you!’.

While another wrote: ‘Oh wow it makes you look like you are back in your 20s’.

A third user added: ‘Woah cool look, if someone had shown me that photo I would not have guessed that was you!’

And a fourth said: ‘Absolutely love it. Really suits you x’.

Even, the actresses former co-star Jacqueline Jossa was quick to shower Sam with comments, with the mum-of-two writing: ‘Oo hell! I love this so much unreal’.

But, Sam’s new look is all for her latest role in the stage production of The Girl on the Train. Sam will be playing the lead role of Rachel Watson in the stage adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ best selling novel.

Emily Blunt previously played the role of Rachel in the 2016 movie adaptation.

While, many fans were stunned by Sam’s new look, others couldn’t help but quiz her over recent rumours that she’s set to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up, after she confessed she loved to dance.

‘I’ve done lots of musicals but I’m not a dancer, so I would be nervous about that. What appeals to me is the fitness and I love dancing in general,’ she revealed.

But, when a fan asked if we’d be seeing her in the famous Strictly ballroom, she swiftly replied: ‘Nooooo!!!’

Oh well, hopefully Sam will be donning sequins and hitting the dance floor next year instead!
