Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent the last few months making sure their Royal Wedding on Saturday was a day to remember.
But despite the pressure of being watched by millions of people across the world, the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex certainly didn’t forget about their guests.
In fact, they actually made a very sweet gesture to ensure those who attended had the best time possible – by providing female guests with a pair of fluffy slippers. Just in case wearing heels all day got a little uncomfortable!
Lucky wedding guest Troian Bellisario – who attended with husband and Meghan’s former Suits co-star Patrick J Adams – revealed the thoughtful detail on social media.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Troian admitted that she had taken off her high shoes and put on some of the complimentary slippers.
Speaking to her followers from Windsor Castle – despite the strict no phone and no social media protocol – she can be heard saying:”How amazing is this, as these shoes have come off, they have slippers for us. Slippers!
“I’m so ready. I’m grabbing these!”
As a staff member then asks her “Would you like a pair madame?”, she quickly answers: “Yes please”, before sharing a snap of the comfy footwear.
Meanwhile, the celebrity guests weren’t the only ones who received a special gift from the royal couple, as Princess Charlotte was also given a present from the bride herself.
Alongside her Givenchy dress, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter was wearing beautiful white leather Aquazurra shoes, monogrammed with her initials and the wedding date – how sweet!
An official statement on the Kensington Palace website provided more details on the bridesmaids’ outfits.
It read: “The Bridesmaids are wearing white leather Aquazurra shoes; each pair is monogrammed with the Bridesmaids initials, and the wedding date.
