Kate Silverton has revealed that Strictly Come Dancing has changed her body and also her marriage.

The BBC broadcaster has spoken openly about how her grueling daily training sessions with professional partner, Aljaž Škorjanec, has helped her ditch a few pounds.

And, the 48-year-old even revealed that her husband is very happy with her toned figure, as she admits that she is feeling “liberated”.

“I think I’ve lost a stone already, it’s the Alijaz school of weight loss. And my husband is very happy about that…nudge nudge,” Kate explained, in an interview with The Mirror.

Adding: “I feel liberated too! I was looking at my thighs today and I’m getting so much definition.”

It’s clear that Kate isn’t worried about that infamous Strictly curse, as she has also admitted that it’s resulted in “marriage magic” for her and her husband, Mike Heron.

Talking with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Kate confessed: “I would call it marriage magic…He did say to me, ‘if the roles were reversed’. Yeah, it wouldn’t happen! My husband is very, very cool with it, and more to the point is loving the impact it’s having on his wife.”

And, it seems like Kate isn’t the only one who is reaping the rewards from hours of dancing, as former Steps star, Faye Tozer has also opened up about noticing changes to her figure.

“I’ve definitely dropped a dress size. I was between a size 10 and a size 12 and now I’m a size 10. I thought I was fit before but you’re literally on your feet for at least six hours a day,” the 42-year-old revealed in an interview with new! magazine.

Faye and her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice have some more work on their hands though, as it has been revealed that the couple will be performing the quickstep during Saturday night’s show.

And, since it’s Movie Week the pair will be channeling their inner Danny and Sandy as they dance to You’re The One That I Want from Grease.

We’ll be watching!
