The much loved Corrie star, known for her role as Leanne Battersby in the soap, will be swapping the cobbles for a pair of blades.
This makes Jane the ninth contestant announced for the ice, meaning she will appear alongside other stars such as TOWIE star Gemma Collins, Loose Women’s Saira Khan and former EastEnders star Richard Blackwood.
Jane’s exciting news was revealed on today’s Loose Women as the actress spoke to the ladies via live link from the Corrie cobbles.

The 39-year-old told Loose Women panelists that she won’t be taking a break from her soap role, but will instead scale down appearances on the show whilst she trains for Dancing on Ice.
Jane has been keeping her Dancing on Ice stint under wraps since July, giving soap bosses time to give her Corrie alter ego some down time on the show.
She said: “I’ll still be there just not as much as I usually will be. I’ll have a quieter patch in the story, and next week there’s a big week for Leanne so the way the story’s going she will have a quieter bit.”
Speaking of the dangers involved with the extreme competition, Jane added that she is expecting a little rough and tumble.
“When you take on something like this you have to accept there are risks, but I’m trying not to think about not being damaged.”
She then added she’ll be getting some tips of her fellow Corrie stars Samia Ghadie, Brooke Vincent and Anthony Booth, who have all done Dancing on Ice.
Following the news, fans have been very quick to share their congratulations for Jane’s confirmed spot on the show.
