When it comes to charmed lives, it seems that Jamie Oliver and his wife of 17 years Jools really seem to have it all. But while the A-list couple have numerous reasons to celebrate – including their five gorgeous children and Jamie’s amazing career as a celebrity chef – there still seems to be one sticking point. The public’s attitude what Jools’ contributes to the family.
Opening up in an exclusive interview with Woman, the 42-year-old lamented:
“Jools might seem like a lady of luxury, but she works really hard. I try to look after her and be romantic, but sometimes that’s just making her a cup of tea when she’s been busy looking after the kids.”
As well as being a published author of children’s books, Jools has also gone on to develop a clothing range for Mothercare.
And it seems that the couple’s strong work ethic is something they want to pass onto their brood, as Jamie goes on to reveal:
“I’m quite old-fashioned and want my kids to work and know the satisfaction of tired feet at the end of the day. But the curveball is they work really hard at school. I don’t think they’re naturally academic, but they do well and they’re doing their homework and I didn’t.”
