Do we need a tear-jerker romance starring Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried? Yes please!
Take your tissues to the new film ‘Fathers and Daughters’, and be prepared for heartwarming moments that will have you breaking out in smiles, too.
An emotional rollercoaster will hit cinemas on November 13, starring Oscar-winner Russell Crowe and gorgeous Amanda Seyfried of Mama Mia and Pan. It’s the first time these two have come together on the big screen since Les Miserables but this time there’s no singing!
The two play father and daughter duo, Jake and Katie, with 30-something Katie living in New York and struggling to find happiness.
Delving back into the past, the plot moves between the 1980s and the present day, revealing Jake as a Pulitzer-prize winning novelist who lost his wife. Struggling with grief and deteriorating mental health, he has to raise his five-year-old daughter and write the next novel. And none of that is easy.
Fast forward to the present day, Katie’s long-suffering boyfriend Cameron – hunky Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul – is pulling out all the stops to help her give in to love. Cameron is a fan of Jake’s writing and adores Katie too, so why can’t she just leave her childhood behind her and love him back?
Despite losing her mother at such a young age, the time has come to let go of the fear of loss and to embrace a relationship and happiness. As we said at the start… tissues at the ready!
As well as the already incredible leads, the cast includes more Oscar winners and legends, with Quvenzhané Wallis, Diane Kruger, Octavia Spencer, Bruce Greenwood and last but not least, Jane Fonda.
In Fathers and Daughters, director Gabriele Muccino (of The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds fame) has produced a movie that’s engaging and heartwarming. – don’t miss it!
In cinemas on Friday 13 November 2015.
