There’s nothing better than settling down with a movie and mulled wine in front of the fire at Christmas.

With so many festive films to choose from, how do you pick which flick to put on? From classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, to modern box office hits like Frozen, finding a Christmas movie that everyone wants to watch can be as difficult as finding the perfect present for that fussy relative!


According to research conducted by, Roku Inc, when we finally succumb to that festive feeling, it’s the Christmas classics that are generally chosen. Home Alone topped their list of the top 10 christmas films, with Miracle on 34th Street coming in at a close second.


Surprisingly, global Disney hit Frozen only comes in at ninth place. Maybe we have finally decided to Let It Go? (sorry).

However, whereas this year’s survey shows people favouriting the classic movies, when we asked you what your favourite films were the results were quite different!
