You'd have to have been living under a rock for the last few years to have missed out on the phenomenon that is Frozen.
In 2013, the charming Disney film took the world by storm, with the adorable tale of Anna and Elsa showing that sisterly love really can conquer anything.
And now, six years after the film’s release, fans (or, their children), will be delighted to hear that ome amazing news has just been confirmed about the movie.
After proving to be a smash hit on Broadway, the film will coming to the West End, for Frozen the Musical UK!
The show will debut in soon, in Autumn 2020, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, which has recently been refurbished. And we can’t wait to nab some tickets, as it sounds incredible.
Frozen the Musical UK will include some of the much-loved, classic songs from the hit film, including, Let It Go (of course), Do You Want To Build A Snowman, and For The First Time In Forever.
And in an exciting twist, the Frozen musical also features some new songs, which have been especially written for the stage – which UK residents can look forward to hearing for the first time as the musical makes its way across the pond.
But you can rest assured that the new tunes will be guaranteed hits. Songs for the Frozen musical have been written by the songwriters from the film, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, meaning they were in very safe hands.
Theatre-goers can look forward to a starring role for all their favourite characters, including of course Anna and Elsa, the adorable snowman Olaf, and warm-hearted iceman Kristoff.
A new role-call of British actors will also be cast in the Frozen the Musical UK, meaning we won’t see the performers who are currently starring in the Broadway version.
The Frozen Musical on Broadway will stay on the New York stage until August this year, before a cross-country run in 2021.
