Helen Stuart, Senior Celebrity Writer: “Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique Nourishing Care for Dry Hair, £15.60, gives super quick and simple protection for your hair – just massage a blob into towel-dried tresses before blow-drying or using heated styling tools and it leaves locks sleek, smooth and in tip top condition. It works really well on coloured hair like mine, which has seen better days!”
Laura Jackson, Commissioning Editor: “When my highlighted hair starts to feel a bit limp and dry I pep it up with a slick of Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, £28, a pre-shampoo treatment. Yes, it’s at the top end of my beauty budget, but it’s also by far the best intensive conditioning treatment I’ve found and a little goes a long way. Magic!”
Meghann Thorp, Fashion and Beauty Intern: “I can’t live without Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm, £18. Apply a pea-sized amount from mid-lengths to ends of hair for smooth and sleek results in an instant. It’s my go-to styling product that’s great for banishing frizzy flyaways all day!”
Charlie Bell, Freelance Fashion Stylist: “Sea salt spray is my favourite. Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray, £7.99, is particularly good. I love the texture of my hair when I’m n the beach, so this is perfect for recreating it. It’s great for holding curls in place and achieving beachy waves.”
Collette Naden, Digital Assistant: “I have very curly hair, which means I need to use a lot of product when I want to get it straight. Using a hair mask before I straighten my locks makes all the difference. After washing my hair I apply Clynol Smooth Keratin Sleek Treatment, £10.65, and leave it on for around 10 minutes before rinsing off. It coats each strand with a protective Keratin-Polymer Complex, which helps calm down the frizz, and extends the lifespan of my straight look.”
Cigdem Tanrioglu, Fashion Assistant: “I have really fine hair and using just a small amount of L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil, £9.99, really helps to tame flyaway hair without weighing it down.
