Emma Bunton is known for her cutesy pigtails back in the day of Baby Spice but she’s come a long way since then. From her role as a judge on Dancing on Ice to recently landing the breakfast slot on Heart FM, see Emma Bunton’s hairstyle history here…
Sending in a video audition to be part of the Spice Girls back in 1994, Emma Bunton’s mid-length hair and whispy fringe is a natural mousey blonde.
By 1997, Emma’s schoolgirl style pigtails have become her trademark hairstyle – very fitting for her Baby Spice alter ego.
Sticking with the super long length, later in ’97, Emma chooses to change her colour to a milky bar blonde.
Returning to a more natural shade in 1999, Emma loses the fringe and goes for a shorter, layered look that’s much more relaxed.
Two years later and the fringe is back and blunter than before. While we like Emma with a fringe, this does look a little boxy for her square face shape.
Clearly not a fan of the fringe either, Emma chooses a side sweeping version that fits in better with her long bouncy waves.
Emma’s never been tempted to change her hair colour completely but in 2003 – the year she first appeared in Ab Fab – she chose to dye the underneath sections a deep dark brunette.
Back to a white blonde and a much softer style, Emma’s casual beachy waves look great with her red faux fur bolero.
After her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, Emma looks like a real Hollywood starlet with these glossy voluptuous curls and mid blonde tint – gorgeous.
A year later and Emma has lobbed off her length and gone in for a naturally textured side parted bob that really suits her face shape.
Straightening her hair and keeping one side tucked behind her ear, Emma’s bob looks sleek and sophisticated.
Emma must have had ice on the brain in 2010. As well as her role on the Dancing on Ice judges panel, she picked an icy blonde shade for her hair too. We’re loving the flicked out layers too!
Returning to the high ponytail and whispy fringes we saw in Emma’s Spice Girl days, she manages to make the ponytail look glam and grown-up for the premiere of Sex & The City 2.
This half-up half-down ‘do looks lovely on Emma’s long blonde hair as she switches on the Christmas lights in November 2011.
It’s gone again! Proving she’s not afraid of the chop, Emma’s hair is back to a neat tucked under bob in spring 2012 and we think it makes her look fresh faced and fabulous.
Opting for a low side ponytail over the scraped back versions she favoured in the past, Emma’s style is face flattering and sexy.
For the premiere of Viva Forever! Spice Girls the Musical, Emma returned to a brighter blonde with razored ends to give her hair some extra texture. She’s barely aged a bit!
