Why spend hundreds of pounds on flowers for your big day when you could help a cute puppy find their forever home instead (and get some super cute pictures in the process?!)
Well for animal rescue worker Sarah Mallouk Crain, she made this dream a reality. The animal loving bride from Pennsylvania and her bridesmaids decided to pose with puppies in their wedding pictures, instead of the traditional bouquets of flowers.
Sarah and her husband Matt Crain already have three rescue dogs at home. They also often foster dogs waiting for their forever homes, so it seemed only natural for them to incorporate this into their big day.
Photographer Caroline Logan photographed the wedding party with the six adorable rescue puppies. “Having the puppies involved in the wedding brought so much additional joy to Matt and Sarah’s day,” Logan told The Dodo. “Though they weren’t a part of the ceremony, they were involved in their portrait time.”
“The puppies of course caused the photos to be extra natural, candid, and carefree” Logan said. “The wedding party was loving all the puppy snuggles.”
The bride cuddled up to a pit bull mix puppy called ‘Biggie Smalls’. The 9-week-old was rescued from the streets of New York and is looking for a forever home.
Meanwhile, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen got up close with a litter of boxer-coonhound puppies. The sweet pups were rescued when they were just under a week old.
