Love a slice of something sweet with your tea – who doesn’t? Bonne Maman’s Orange and Apricot Tea Bread is fruity perfection.


Prep Time – 15 minutes

Cooking Time – 40 minutes

80g sultanas, chopped

30g dried apricots, chopped

1 orange, zest only

1tbsp orange juice

1tbsp Bonne Maman Mandarin Marmalade

120g caster sugar

50g butter

1 egg, beaten

250g self-raising flour

180ml milk


1. Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 and grease and line the base and sides of a loaf tin.

2. In a small bowl, combine the sultanas, apricots, orange zest, orange juice and marmalade. Let stand for 10 minutes.

3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Beat in the egg and stir in the fruit mixture. Stir the flour and milk a little at a time and mix well.

4. Pour into the prepared tin and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve sliced and buttered with a pot of English tea.
