If you’re a curry lover, you can still indulge in your favourite Indian classics if you’re watching the calories. Our lamb rogan josh curry is packed full of flavour even though it’s under 250 calories – it’s a fab 5:2 fast day dinner.

Frylight extra virgin olive oil
1 red onion, sliced
200g lamb rump steaks, cubed
1 garlic clove, crushed
1tbsp rogan josh curry paste
200ml beef stock
200g can tomatoes
1tbsp tomato puree
½ red pepper, deseeded, cubed
1 small sweet potato, cubed
50g frozen peas
1. Heat a casserole pot with a few squirts of olive oil sprayed in it, add the onion and fry for a few mins, to soften.
2. Add the lamb, garlic and the rogan josh paste. Cook for 10 mins, turning, as needed, to brown.
3. Add the stock, tomatoes, tomato puree, pepper and sweet potato. Cover and simmer for 40 mins until the lamb is tender.
4. Add the peas and cook for a few mins to warm through.
