From tums to bums, different types of body fat need different techniques to help get rid of it for good!

One of the most important things to consider when looking at different methods of losing weight, is that all of us are different! As we are all unique, the same diet will not work for everyone, and so one of the key ways to lose weight is to find the method that works best for you – and then stick to it!

Below are six different types of body fat that are the most common. Identify where your problem areas are by using the image below, and then read on to find out which diet and exercise combination will work best for you…


1. Upper body and tummy

One of the most common places in the world to struggle with your weight is your upper body! If you want to beat the bingo wings and lose weight from your back and tummy, then try cutting down your portion sizes and only eating sweet treats two or three times a week. It’s also important to try and exercise for at least 30 minutes five or six times a week – keep it up is key!

2. Muffin tops

If you struggle with ‘love handles’ or feel like you’re constantly fighting to beat your ‘muffin top’ then one of your main weaknesses is probably sugar! Whether its chocolate, sweet treats, desserts or sugary snacks, you’ve got a sweet tooth and it’s affecting your body. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself now and then, but if you want to shed the extra weight, then try one of the exercises below and cut down on sugar as much as possible:

You should try and do them four to five times a week – the key is consistency! 5. Wobbly legs

Make sure you walk up steps instead of taking escalators or lifts, run up the stairs at home, and try walking where possible instead of jumping in the car. 6. Back and tums
