This is our brilliant twist on strawberries and cream! We love this easy summer strawberry sundae recipe. Liven up a tub of ice cream with strawberries and a splash of Kirsh. Instead of smothering it entirely with cream, save a few calories and mix with Greek yogurt (It gives a lovely tangy taste too). A perfect summery dessert!
SERVES 4 PREP 10 MINS
What do you need:
500g strawberries, hulled and halved
4tbsp kirsch (if you like)
2tbsp golden caster sugar
170g carton 0% fat Greek yogurt
300ml double cream, whipped
1tsp vanilla extract
500ml vanilla ice cream
What you need to do:
Put the strawberries into a bowl, drizzle with kirsch and 1tbsp sugar.
Stir together the yogurt, double cream, vanilla extract and 1tbsp sugar.
Layer up the strawberries, with alternate scoops of ice cream and spoonfuls of creamy yogurt.
