Whilst the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing only just wrapped up it’s sequins, fans of the muched-loved show will be delighted by Catherine Tyldesley’s latest hint…
The Coronation Street star is hugely popular with viewers, often taking to social media to share important messages of body confidence and speaking out against cruel trolls.
However, it appears the 35-year-old star might be set to take a brief hiatus from the Corrie cobbles next year – after she appeared to hint at her own Strictly stint!
Making her affections toward’s the sparkly BBC competition clear, Catherine has even suggested she might “pop up” during the next series.
Speaking with Hello, Catherine shared: “I’m such a fan. At some point I would love to do it.”
Explaining that she’s apprehensive to take the plunge, the soap star added: “I can’t dance and have never had the confidence – I usually only hit the dance floor after a couple of drinks.
“But it’s something I’ve always wanted to learn. It’s an amazing skill to have. So I might pop up at some point.”
In fact, Catherine even made her debut appearance on the show recently – as she joined Claudia Winkleman to read out the terms and conditions of the show.
After admitting she “can’t dance”, Catherine then delighted viewers as she shimmied and did jazz hands.
However, this isn’t the first time Catherine has hinted at an interest in the ballroom…
Recently, the actress took to Twitter to promise her parents she would go on the show.
Responding to a comment telling her to partner up with Aljaž Škorjanec, she said: “I’m on it dad!! Promise! Cheers mum xxx.”
Let’s hope BBC bosses make it happen!
