Sheridan Smith says it's a 'dream come true' as ITV announce special where star will performs songs from her new album accompanied by a live orchestra
Sheridan Smith will show off her singing talents as she performs songs from her new album accompanied by a live orchestra for a new one-off ITV special, to be shown later this year.
Simply called Sheridan, the “TV extravaganza” will see the Cilla actress also performing an array of musical numbers as well as speaking about her life and hugely successful career.
The 36-year-old actress, who’s starred in everything from Gavin and Stacey to Mrs Biggs, said, “I am so excited to be performing my songs and sharing my journey with my fans, friends and family. It’s a dream come true…”
Lee Connolly, Creative Director for ITV Entertainment, added, “With such a stellar career as an actor, it’s easy to forget that Sheridan is also a wonderful singer. With brilliant performances in ITV’s Cilla and as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl it reminded us why Sheridan is such a special and unique performer and we are delighted to be making this one off special with her.”
Sheridan will air this autumn.
