Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been taking a break from royal duties and it sounds like enjoyed a very A-list holiday.

The couple reportedly jetted off to Lake Como in Italy to stay with their close friends Amal and George Clooney at their luxury villa and spent three nights in the scenic resort.

Meghan, 37, helped to look after the Hollywood pair’s 14-month-old twins Ella and Alexander, according to Italian magazine Chi, whilst Harry, 33, apparently played sports including basketball with George and other pals.

Meanwhile George 57, is said to have thrown a dinner party in honour of Harry and Meghan’s visit which was attended by 15 guests and went on until the early hours.

It’s been reported that the royal couple arrived in Lake Como on Thursday evening and left on Sunday.

“Harry loved shooting some hoops  while Meghan spent a lot of time with the kids,” a source told The Sun of the secretive trip. “On Saturday night they had an al-fresco dinner looking out on to the lake with a group of friends and just relaxed.”

George and Amal, 40, were guests at Harry and Meghan’s wedding held at Windsor Castle on 19 May.

It sounds like the royals had an idyllic break and now Meghan has reportedly headed off to the US for a solo trip to visit friends.

The former actress was said to have boarded an Air Canada flight from London to Toronto over the weekend before going to New York and Los Angeles during her travels, where it’s thought that she’ll spend time with her mum Doria Ragland.

Meanwhile royal fans can expect to see Harry and Meghan together in public again when they attend a gala performance of the West End musical Hamilton in support of the Sentebale charity on Wednesday 29 August.

The engagement was confirmed by the Kensington Palace Twitter account yesterday, which also announced two other events that Harry and Meghan will attend in September.

We don’t blame the couple for making the most of their holidays before returning to their busy schedule!
