Piers Morgan left fans confused this morning, after failing to appear on Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.
The controversial TV host usually presents the morning show Monday – Wednesday with pal Susanna Reid. And so the show faced an outcry, when outspoken Piers failed to show up on their screesn as expected.
Regular co-host Susanna Reid also refrained from explaining Piers’ notable absence, and he was swiftly replaced by regular stand-in Richard Madeley.
And clearly, some fans were left VERY disappointed by the no-show.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their sadness over Piers’ absence, with one explaining she only watched the morning show for him.
While Susanna failed to acknowledge Piers’ absence, she did address controversial rumours that she wants him off the show completely.
Speculation has been flying that popular host Susanna would rather front GMB on her own, than alongside her controversial co-host.
Commenting on the rumours, she said, “Apparently I literally want Piers out.
“I thought it was going to be that I wanted him out on a night at the Groucho or that someone had tweeted that I wanted him out, but apparently I’ve told close friends that I want to do this [show] on my own.”
But she insisted, “I’ve never said that to anybody.
“So Piers is off for a few days, and not because I want him out and Richard Madeley is here,”, she then clarified.
So where did Piers go?
Turns out, everyone can relax, as it seems Piers Morgan is just off enjoying a sunny break over in LA!
Taking to Twitter, he posted a screenshot of a weather forecast of Beverly Hills. Piers captioned the shot, Thanks for all the concern over my ‘shock’ absence from @GMB today. I just saw this weather forecast & realised I was in the wrong place.”
To be fair, we certainly know where we’d rather be!
However, many fans have vowed not to return to the show until their favourite host returns to UK shores. Many commented on his post writing, “Cant watch GMB without you. Hurry back.” While another said, “Don’t blame you. If only I could fly away to the sunshine.”
It’s not know when Piers Morgan will return, but if we were in LA, we probably wouldn’t rush back either…
