In Piers Morgan's new documentary, Pyschopath with Piers Morgan, the GMB star will speak to Paris Bennett - a 25-year-old jailed for killing his younger sister.

In the ITV show, Piers meets with Paris at the Ferguson Unit Texas State Prison, where he was jailed for forty years.

What did Paris Bennett do?

12 years ago, when he was just 13, Paris Bennett murdered his then four-year-old sister, Ella in their home, stabbing her in her bed repeatedly.

In the Piers Morgan documentary, he explained that he originally intended to kill his mother, Charity, but later decided to target Ella in order to get to her.

Paris explained to Piers, “For many years, there was just this hot, flaming ball of wrath in the pit of my stomach and it was directed at my mother.

“And one of the reasons why I chose to kill my sister and not someone else is because I knew that by doing that I could hurt my mother in the worst possible way, because I had always known, as a child, that the most devastating thing to my mother would be the loss of one of her children, and I found a way to take away both her children in one fell swoop.”

But despite the hideous nature of his crime, Paris Bennett doesn’t think the murder should ‘define my entire life’.

He said, “Yes, I did commit a monstrous crime but does that one mistake define my entire life…I don’t think it does.”

Paris is a diagnosed psychopath – a person without sympathy or remorse, but someone who can also be charming, friendly and charismatic in order to get what they want.

His mother Charity explained, “He’s human. He’ll be nice, personable, polite. Paris is very charming when he wants to be. I mean, he’s a psychopath.”

In the documentary, Charity also revealed to Piers that she believes he has the potential to kill her, if he is ever released from prison. He said, “Yes. I think under the right circumstances he would do it again.”

Although Paris was sentenced to 40 years in prison, he is eligible for parole in 2027, meaning he will only serve around half of his prison sentence.

However, if that is refused, he will remain in prison until 2047, by which time he will be almost 50.

Psychopath with Piers Morgan will air on ITV on Thursday night, at 9pm.
