Eagle-eyed onlookers spotted something 'unusual' about this photo...

The wedding of the year took place this weekend, but while all eyes were on Pippa, there was one particular photograph of Kate that got people talking…

Tending to her daughter two-year-old daughter Charlotte, who was adorably dressed as flower girl for the occasion, eagle-eyed royal fans picked up on Kate’s hands. Her nails were void of any polish, suggesting that the Duchess has been too busy running after George and Charlotte to go and get a manicure for the occasion. And many commented on what a refreshing change it is that Kate doesn’t feel the need to be perfectly polished from head to toe.

One woman commented on Woman’s Own’s Facebook page:

“Look at kates hands. Them is working hands. Not even a spot of nail polish. ! Just washing dishes.”

Another said: “No nail polish and very short! I noticed that!!x”

While another praised the Princess’ down-to-earth style: “Vanity is cheap! Take a leaf from her book you lot.”

“It makes a refreshing change to see that Kate doesn’t have to always be polished from head to toe!”

When Kate does do her nails, she’s not a fan of fancy, expensive polishes, opting for high street brands instead.

Kate’s manicurist Marina Sandoval from the Jo Hansford salon told the Daily Mail the exact shades of polish that she blended for her wedding day.

Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in Rose Lounge, a barely there pink sold only in the UK, and Essie Allure ($8, essie.com), a sheer beige tone.

“Catherine wanted something very natural and I felt these matched her skin colour beautifully. She wanted something off-white and bridal, so these were absolutely perfect,” Sandoval said. “She was very pleased with the result and told me that it looked beautiful and elegant.”
