Peter Andre has reassured his Instagram followers that he is feeling “better than ever” after they were left concerned by a video in which the star looked “thin in the face”.
Taking to the social media platform earlier this week, the Australian pop star shared a selfie video of him urging fans to send in their nominations for the 20th anniversary of the Pride of Britain awards.
But some of his one million followers were left worried for the Mysterious Girl hit maker, pointing out that he had lost weight.
Taking to the comment section, one wrote, “He is getting thinner in the face worrying signs that their could be something wrong with the body?”
Making sure to spread some reassurance, Peter, 46, quickly commented back, explaining the reason behind his slimmer looking appearance and insisting that he feels in tip top condition.
He wrote, “I run 🏃♀️ 😀 Feeling better than ever :)”
Responding, the fan made it clear that the comment was purely made out of admiration for Peter, penning: ‘good take care we all like you if we had more like you it would be a better WORLD.’
Sending back a sweet reply, Pete thanked the commenter for their concern, saying, “ah thanks so much very kind of you.”
Meanwhile, more of the TV star’s loyal supporters ensured him that he is looking fit and healthy.
One wrote, “He’s a fitness fanatic, he’s trim healthy n very muscular ❤️.”
While another chipped in to add, “He’s lean and in great shape.’
Having read the exchange in the comment section, some slightly more irritated followers hit back at the original poster, slamming them for ‘body shaming’ Peter.
One remarked, “oh for goodness sake!!!! ….. find something else to comment on, @peterandre looks fine & doesn’t need your rude observations!”
And a second agreed, “you’re so rude, there’s nothing wrong with him he looks healthy. If you have nothing positive to say then unfollow!”
