Amazing new snap of Meghan Markle shows her outside the gates of Buckingham Palace as a teenager on tour!

As stunning Meghan Markle posed for this picture outside Buckingham Palace with a friend at the age of just 15, she couldn’t have imagined in her wildest dreams that 21 years later she’d be walking through the Palace gates as a fully fledged member of the Royal Family.

Meghan, who’s from Los Angeles, was visiting London as part of a trip through Europe with her friend Ninaki Priddy in the summer of 1996 when the snap was taken.

Ninaki said the pair met at just age two at a prestigious kindergarten in Hollywood and quickly became inseparable. ‘We were sisters’ said the 36-year-old jewellery designer. “We would be hand in hand, everywhere.”

Meanwhile fresh new announcements from Kensington Palace have revealed lots more details about the couple’s big day…

Harry and Meghan have revealed that their wedding – which will be televised to the nation – will also be ‘fun and joyful’ – to match their personalities. The bride and groom will be in charge of all the wedding arrangements, while The Queen and Prince Charles will pay for the celebrations.

The event, which is set to take place at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel in May, will also see members of the public involved, possibly by ballot. Prince Harry was actually christened at the chapel!

Meghan will be baptised and confirmed in the Church of England before the big day and is set to apply to become a British citizen after she is married. The lengthy process takes around three years and Meghan will go through it just like any other applicant.

Meghan will take part in her first royal engagement in Nottingham today as she and Harry carry out their first official walkabout together and meet groups working in the fields of Aids and young people.

The former actress will then embark on an intensive six-month ‘tour’ of Britain to get to know her adopted country.

The remarkable picture of Meghan outside Buckingham Palace is part of an exclusive set of images given to to the Daily Mail by Miss Priddy and covering her school days, college life and first wedding.

Harry’s communication’s secretary, Jason Knauf, said: “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are extremely grateful for the warm public response following the announcement of their engagement.

“In a happy moment in their lives, it means a great deal to them that so many people throughout the UK, the Commonwealth and around the world are celebrating with them.”

He added: “Prince Harry and Ms Markle are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives together as a married couple.

“The couple of course want the day to be a special, celebratory moment for their friends and family.

“They also want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too and are currently working through ideas for how this might be achieved.

“This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters of the bride and groom.

“Prince Harry and Ms Markle are leading the planning process for all aspects of the wedding.

“We look forward to sharing these details with you in the months ahead as decisions are made.”
