Our Girl season 3 finally made its return this week – but it seems like not all viewers were happy to see it back on screens.
The drama, starring Michelle Keegan, opened into a disaster zone. Viewers witnessed Corporal Georgia Lane and her troops headed to Nepal, following a devastating earthquake.
Also making a return was handsome Luke Pasqualino. And his and Georgie’s long-running romantic tension was still clear to see…
But while fans loved the first and second season of the hit BBC show, it seems this new season has fallen slightly short of expectations. Throughout the episode, viewers took to social media to critisise the first episode, calling it “boring”.
Fans also seemed to take issue with Michelle Keegan’s flawless appearance during episode one.
Yes, she’s obviously a stunning human being. But many viewers were left confused that her character Georgie looked so groomed in the middle of a disaster zone…
Lots of fans took to Twitter to voice their confusion, with one claiming that in reality, she wouldn’t have “foundation, mascara and painted eyebrows” following an earthquake.
Feel I must point out that character like Georgie would not be wearing foundation, mascara & painted eyebrows in earthquake zone #OurGirl

Is it just me or is #OurGirl terrible? Apart from anything else who in the army has eyebrows as perfect as that?!

How does Michelle Keegan's make up stay flawless when on a relief mission in Nepal and mine can't even survive my commute to work đ#ourgirl

And we have to say, she does look pretty perfect…
While some fans took issue with the reality of Georgie’s appearance, other’s took to social media to confess that they thought the series was just downright awful.
Some disappointed viewers criticised the acting. And others suggested that the episode was too slow to hold their attention…
Catching up with #OurGirl feeling quite disappointed. Very slow and quite boring. Let's hope this episode ends with a cliffhanger

And some even critiqued the acting…

Disappointed by the acting and story line in #Ourgirl for episode 1. Had potential to be brill but fell short #pity #bbc

Other Our Girl viewers were outraged over the continual swearing in the episode, deeming it unnecessary.
Yep -it was awful – and the constant swearing didn't help ( the actors not me!) #ourgirl

Oh dear!
Our Girl will return for 11 more episodes, split into three blocks of four episodes. So fingers crossed that opinion across the board improves…
We’re sure that with Michelle Keegan and Luke Pascqualino at the helm, things can only get better for the series.
