Although Lorraine Kelly and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are two of our biggest style inspirations separately, we’ve rarely seen them wear the same kind of outfits over the years.
But it seems TV presenter Lorraine is keen to start taking a leaf out of the royal’s style book, wearing a very similar dress to her on her breakfast show recently.
During Wednesday’s show, Lorraine opted for a pretty, polka-dot dress with elegant white collar and sleeves. And the outfit is strikingly similar to a dress Catherine wore for Prince Charles’ recent 70th birthday portraits.
Catherine’s blue polka-dot number was also completed by some chic white detailing, with some matching white bottons down the front, unlike Lorraine’s.
But while the Duchesses Alessandra Richards dress was on the rather more expensive side, costing roughly £1,100, Lorraine’s was far more affordable – which is music to our ears.
The 58-year-old’s dress is actually from a high-street store Catherine also loves, Zara. The item is on sale for a brilliant £39.99, making it hundreds of pounds cheaper than the Duchess of Cambridge’s!
We reckon it would look brilliant styled with a pair of black stilettos and a winter coat – or with some chic boots, for a more dressed-up look.
And amazingly, the dress is still on sale in most sizes online. Although the XS and XL have sold out, customers can still pick one up in a small, medium, or large. You can buy it here– but be fast, as we reckon it won’t hang around for long!
However, the polka dot dress fascination didn’t actually start with the Duchess of Cambridge. One of Meghan Markle’s closest friends, her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, first wore the designer gown to Harry and Meghan’s wedding, back in May. So it seems as though it’s a popular choice among the celebs of the world!
It’s not the first time Lorraine Kelly has been inspired by the Duchess when it comes to fashion choices however. Back in summer, she wore a pair of M&S espadrille wedges that looked super similar to Catherine’s favourite Monsoon pair.
So will you be picking up Lorraine and Catherine’s favourite dress for winter?
