Actress and TV star Lisa Riley wowed fans recently with an amazing throwback snap, as she took part in the popular social media trend #TenYearChallenge, which sees people post pictures of themselves 10 years ago alongside a recent photo.

The 42-year-old was practically unrecognisable in the picture taken back in 2009, displaying her incredible, 12-stone weight loss over the past decade.

Posting the snap, Lisa wrote, ‘Well YES YES YES I am super proud of my #10yearchallenge I have changed my life 100% healthy food, exercise a lot, stopped smoking, zero booze for nearly four years.

‘But mainly head and heart are in sync, which equals HAPPINESS 💛💛💛#feelfantastic #beyourself #smile #10yearchallenge #love #positivevibes’.

Her 98,000 followers were astounded by the changes in Lisa over the last 10 years, with many calling her and her weight loss journey an ‘inspiration’.

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has worked hard to shed the pounds over the years. She’s taken many different measures to lose weight, including cutting out alcohol completely.

She recently told the Mirror, “Now I don’t think I’ll ever drink again. I never say never, but at the moment I don’t think I will. This is what baffles me most – not drinking doesn’t bother me at all.”

Lisa also confessed that she’s almost cut carbs out of her diet completely – but if she does indulge, she always eats them before 1.30pm, to give her body time to digest them.

The actress has also taken up yoga and exercise classes as part of her healthy new regime, including long, leisurely walks.
