The Strictly Come Dancing star is now prepared for anything...
Ruth, 57, is partnering up with professional dancer Anton du Beke on the BBC One dance show, which kicks off tomorrow night (Saturday). And whilst she has been training for the show for weeks, she may not have fully prepared for the physical demands of gruelling regime of foxtrots, Latin dance numbers and more. But fear not, as Ruth’s colleagues have gone the extra mile to make sure she is prepared for anything that is thrown at her.
And fans have gone wild over the kit, with one writing: ‘Tena lady? OMG Ruth I know your pelvic floor is OK and working. don’t blame on the bruscetta. And all the painkillers? Do they hope you take the overdose or what? (sic),’ another said: ‘Love the glitter ball, might be a bigger one in a few months, good luck’, another wrote: ‘That’s brilliant, love the tena lady’s’.
Ruth was excited to share her surprise dressing room transformation with her 371,000 Instagram followers, so much so that she recorded a video to give fans a tour of the room which had been kitted out with balloons, banners and treats.
During the clip Ruth, who co-presents the hit ITV daytime show every Friday with husband Eamonn Holmes, can be heard saying: ‘I am so overwhelmed this morning, look I’ve just come into my dressing room at This Morning and look what my lovely team have done, Good Luck Ruthee, break a leg, and then over here on the dressing table, look, dear Ruth break a leg, you will be fabulous, big love David and Rach and then in here, this is my a Strictly survival box [laughs]’
She composed herself and continued: ‘And look Wind-eze, because I do get a windy tummy when I’m nervous, breath spray, rescue remedy and a glitterball and well we won’t talk about those [ Tena ladies ] …glitterball. Oh that is amazing, isn’t that lovely? I love you lot at This Morning thank you my little This Morning family love you for that, ooh I’d better get into make up!’
Ruth uploaded the video along with the caption: ‘Thank you Thank you @davidobrien75 @rachaeleleri87 for “pimping” my dressing room! Love you two!’ followed by a heart-shaped emoji.
The survival box also contains a miniature bottle of champagne, hairspray, Berocca energy tablets and limb supports, to name but a few items.
Awww you can NEVER be too prepared. Good luck Ruth!
