EastEnders actress Lorraine Stanley has revealed how she managed to shed a stone in just six weeks.
The TV star, who plays Karen Taylor in the long-running BBC soap, said she made some simple changes to her diet in order to lose the 12lbs.
Lorraine revealed she started keeping an eye on how many carbs she was consuming and cut out treats such as crisps and chocolate and replaced them with protein rich foods.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, the actress revealed, “I’ve lost 12lbs in six weeks.
“My mate Louisa is my fitness guru, I’ve got her to thank for it. She talks about nutrition.
“I’ve eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken, no carbs. No crisps and chocolate.”
Lorraine went on, “I’m enjoying it and I feel better for it.”
The EastEnders star also revealed she had recently moved out of London and credited the move for an improvement in her wellbeing.
“I now live in Hertfordshire,” she shared. “It has a lot of things. I have a little girl, Nancy. She’ll have fresher air, better schools, less crime in general.
“It was a big move and I feel great – it is lovely there.”
Earlier this year, Lorraine was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards alongside the likes of Corrie’s Alison King and Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins.
Speaking about starring in the soap, she previously told The Mirror, “I grew up watching EastEnders. My mum’s the biggest fan. It’s all about making my mum proud.
“I wind my three sisters up saying that I’m definitely the favourite.”
