The pregnant star says his 100-hour community service could be ‘the making of him’
Coleen Rooney has reportedly claimed that her husband Wayne’s 100-hour community service for drink-driving could finally force him to “grow up”.
The pregnant mum-of-three is said to believe that his punishment, which also includes a two-year driving ban, could be the best thing to happen as she is sick of his immature behaviour.
Wayne was given the community order after being caught three times over the legal limit while driving with party girl Laura Simpson earlier this month.
“Coleen has said the best thing that could have happened to Wayne is getting this 100-hour community service,” a source revealed to The Sun.
“She thinks this may be the shock he needs to grow up. She has always said he is like her fourth child.
“He’s one big kid. He does nothing around the house, is always fooling around — and just plays computer games.”
The insider added: “It’s time for Wayne to man up. The latest events are the last straw. Coleen thinks this might be the making of him.”
The Everton striker apologised for his “unforgiveable lack of judgement” in a statement following his hearing at Stockport Magistrates court earlier this week.
He added: “Of course I accept the sentence of the court and hope that I can make some amends through my community service.”
One way he’s hoping to make amends to Coleen is by reportedly tattooing her face on his arm.
“Wayne is planning a massive sleeve tattoo and wants to feature Coleen’s face on his arm, to prove to her he’s committed to the marriage,” a friend of the couple reportedly told The Sun.
“He wants all the kids on there too – he wants everyone to know how much his family means to him, especially as Coleen is pregnant with their fourth.
“He’s keen to show Coleen that his mistakes are in the past and that she means everything to him.
“He thinks the ink will show her how serious he is about making things right with her.”
