Meghan Markle only officially joined the royal family a year ago, but it seems that the Queen is already relying on her to fulfil one of her final wishes.
The Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in May last year, and she has since worked hard to support various charitable causes and attended numerous royal events.
And turns out that the Queen is counting on her for big things, as she’s expecting Meghan to be the one fulfilling one of her final wishes.
The royal revelation comes from former ITV News former royal editor Tim Ewart, who explained that the Queen worries that the monarchy will no longer appeal as much to the public once she passes away.

Speaking to Yahoo’s The Royal Box, Mr Ewart: ‘I think what Harry and Meghan have done is appeal very greatly to a younger generation which is what the Queen wanted.
‘The reality for the monarchy is that when the Queen dies, one of the reasons for the monarchy’s popularity will be gone.
‘A large part of the popularity of the monarchy is based on the popularity of the Queen. Will that transfer to her son?
‘Open question, we don’t know, but there are suggestions that he’s not as popular as she is.’
This comes just a few days after both Meghan and Harry were named as two of top 25 Most Influential People on the Internet by Time magazine.

The royal duo created their Sussex Royal Instagram account back in April, and broke the world record for the fastest time for an account to reach one million followers – they have now reached over nine million followers.
