Christine Lampard has confessed she gained three and a half stone while she was pregnant, but said she ‘couldn’t give a damn’ about losing the rest of her baby weight.

The mum-of-one has revealed exactly how much weight she gained while she was pregnant with her 11-month-old daughter Patricia – and admitted that while she still hasn’t lost it all, she has a foolproof solution: clever wardrobe choices.

‘I put on three and a half stone and I’m still a stone overweight but I couldn’t give a damn,’ she told Closer magazine. ‘Loose clothes is the answer. And bigger shoes – my feet have expanded so my size seven boats are now size eight ferries.’

The always-relatable 40-year-old presenter went on to explain that her ‘exercise regime’ now revolves around walking with her dog and baby. ‘I can’t fathom how any new mum can make it to the gym every day!’ she confessed. ‘That takes dedication I’ll never possess.’

Christine has previously admitted that she ‘could do more’ to trim down, but is too busy enjoying life as a new mum – as well as the odd glass of rosé. ‘I mean come on, it’s the summer!’ she told Fabulous magazine. ‘I can’t say no to any of it.’

Christine shares Patricia with her husband, football manager Frank Lampard. The couple met at an awards ceremony in 2009 and married in 2015.

And while Patricia, who turns one next month, is Christine’s first child, she’s been getting plenty of practice in since becoming a stepmother to Frank’s daughters Luna, 14, and Isla, 12.

Earlier this summer, Christine posted a stunning snapshot of herself cradling Patricia on Instagram, while on a family holiday to celebrate Frank’s 41st birthday. ‘My cute little love,’ she wrote. ‘Nine months old already.’

But while she seems like a natural mum, Christine has admitted that having a baby wasn’t something she’d ‘actively thought about’ until she and Frank started trying. ‘I was happy in my marriage and that was enough,’ she told You magazine. Well, we think she’s doing a cracking job.
