The Britain’s Got Talent live final had plenty of dramatic moments – but it was the sight of ‘Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’ that really shocked viewers!
Declan Donnelly stood beside the unexpected guests in the audience during Sunday night’s show and explained: “We’ve been joined by some very special guests… your highnesses.
“Thank you for coming, we hope you’re loving the show.”
However, it turned out that ‘Harry and Meghan’ were in fact incredibly realistic ‘live’ masks from Madame Tussauds London.
The masks will arrive at the venue later this month, meaning fans can experience an even more realistic meeting with the newlyweds.
It looks like they had fun before heading back to Madame Tussauds though, with ‘Harry and Meghan’ exploring the whole Britain’s Got Talent studio as well as watching the show.
Viewers were left stunned by the lookalikes and many were fooled into thinking that the real royal couple were actually there.
“FOR A SECOND I HONESTLY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS MEGHAN AND HARRY,” one fan confessed on Twitter, whilst another said: “I’m still debating whether or not that was actually Harry and Meghan… that was so freakishly realistic and weird”
And one admitted: “I thought it was actually Harry and Meghan and took me a few mins and a close up to realise it wasn’t them!”
Whilst the real-life Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, weren’t at the BGT finale, one person who was involved was Bishop Michael Curry, the preacher who memorably delivered a powerful sermon at the couple’s wedding last month.
Bishop Curry appeared via a recorded video message to say: “Hello Britain’s Got Talent. It is a joy to bring you these greetings, to all of the contestants, to the judges, to the audience, to all who make this possible.
“Thank you for what you are doing, thank you to the contestants who offer yourselves and share your talent and your gifts with the rest of us, you actually help to bring some joy and happiness.
“So thank you, God bless you, God keep you and may God hold us all in those almighty hands of love.”
