Alesha Dixon will be turning 40 in October and she has never felt as ‘fearless’ as she does now.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge opened up about the ‘beauty’ of aging as she prepares for her milestone birthday.
“I genuinely feel at this age the most fearless I’ve ever felt which is really freeing,’ she told Fabulous magazine.
Before admitting her confidence hasn’t come easily, she added, “It takes time to get here – you have to go through things and experience highs and lows, and all those things combined lead you to this place.
“And that’s the beautiful thing about getting older.”
“People worry about their looks going, but go deeper and you realise you know yourself more and you’re more comfortable in your own skin and more settled within yourself, and that’s a really great basis on which to live your life.”
“I’m so blessed that I’ve made it to this age, days where I look at what I’ve done in 40 years and think, ‘That was one amazing chapter’, and I feel really optimistic and empowered by that.
“I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life, so I have to give thanks for that.”
Alesha shares four-year-old daughter Azura with partner Azuka Ononye.
She managed to keep her pregnancy a secret from the public, revealing she only told her colleagues at Britain’s Got Talent when she was six months along.
She previously told Daily Mail Online, “I didn’t tell anyone. Well, my partner knew, and my mum. But I didn’t tell anyone else in the family.
“No one at Britain’s Got Talent knew – although they must have suspected because my dresses had to be altered every week. And my boobs got huge!
“Everyone must have thought I’d had a boob job. I kept it a secret until I was six months pregnant.”
