Kate stuns in the Queen Mother's tiara
The Duchess of Cambridge looked simply stunning in red as she attended her first state banquet held at Buckingham Palace last night, alongside her husband. Kate, 33, sat on the top table next to Chinese president Xi Jinping at the banquet held in his honor.
The Duchess wore the Queen Mother’s beautiful diamond tiara called the Papyrus tiara which is also known as the Lotus Flower, and teamed it with delicate stunning diamond drop earrings. Wow!
And the dress? Kate stood out from the royal crowd in an elegant, red, bespoke Jenny Packham dress which subtly sparkled under the Palace lights. It nipped in perfectly at the waist showcasing her amazing slim figure. The high neck, short sleeved dress certainly looked amazing on the Duchess and was perfect for the lavish event.
Apparently there were over 170 guests in Buckingham Palace which had been decorated for the event. The white-tie dinner was hosted by the Queen and Prince Philip.
Among the other guests were Prime Minister David Cameron, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, Prince Harry, the Duke of York, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
