Vicky Pattison Loose Women exit shocked fans after just six months on the show...
The Vicky Pattison Loose Women exit shocked fans after the ‘Queen of the Jungle’ left the TV chat show after just six months. But after all the speculation, the former reality TV star has finally revealed the real reason she quit the programme…
Back in 2016, Vicky Pattison landed a seat on the Loose Women panel, regularly featuring alongside the likes of Andrea McLean and Katie Price on the hit TV show. However, after a run of what seemed like successful shows, Vicky suddenly quit her role on the show after just half a year.
Now, speaking to Lorraine, the 29-year-old has revealed the real reason for her shock departure. During her appearance on the ITV morning chat show, Pattison, who turns 30 this year, admitted that she simply felt she was too young and inexperienced to offer an opinion on the topics discussed by the outspoken panel.
She revealed, “I can’t thank the ‘Loose Women’ team and everybody at ITV enough for giving me such an amazing opportunity. But for me, I think I tried to run before I could walk.
“I think there were maybe certain things that were discussed and certain debates that we’d have, and I’d be desperate to get involved. But I’d feel a little bit like, ‘I really don’t have an opinion on this’.”
Vicky also confessed that her stint on the show left her feeling like she couldn’t quite relate to the lives of the other ladies. She continued, “It was marriage, and it was kids. At the time, I couldn’t even get a lad to text me back.”
The reality star won over the nation when she starred in, and won, I’m A Celebrity back in 2015. Her crazy popularity also meant that she landed herself a gig presenting the ITV show’s spin-off, ‘Extra Camp’. But Vicky admitted that she soon found the exciting presenting role tricky, given the nasty criticism she received as a result.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she revealed, “I broke down in floods of tears every night reading all the comments,”
“People were calling me a horrible fat cow, a bad role model, a shit TV presenter. It affected my confidence. I came off after the first night and looked on Twitter and phoned my boyfriend in absolute hysterics.
“People were so savage, they just turned on me. I went from, ‘Isn’t Vicky so down-to-earth and fun’, to ‘Why the f*** does she think she can be a TV presenter?’.”
But luckily, Vicky has celebrated happier news recently. The star has just announced that she’s engaged to boyfriend John Noble.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said, “I was spending a few days at John’s house, which is just outside Newcastle and surrounded by lovely countryside. One morning he suggested we take his dog Roxie out for a walk. After a while we stopped for a sit down on a bench overlooking some lovely scenery.
“I was playing with Roxie when she shook her head and got slobber all over my face. When I wiped it away, John was in front of me on one knee. I couldn’t believe it, I burst into tears. I said yes and then I looked at the ring and I was blown away. It was amazing.”
