After her successful run on Strictly Come Dancing last year, the singer is making some big life decisions

Louise Redknapp is a performer at heart.

Although she’s spent more time as a TV presenter in the last few years, she’s still best known for being a singer – first making a name for herself as part of R&B girl group Eternal in the ’90s, before leaving to pursue a career as a solo artist.

And now, 15 years since her last live performance, Louise has revealed that she is stepping back on to the pop stage with a live London performance later this year.

The pop star posted a promo on her Instagram feed this morning, sharing the news that she’ll be on the line-up at ‘Under The Bridge’ on 22 December. The caption for the picture said ‘I’ll be performing all the hit’s plus some covers of some of my favourite songs and maybe even some new material’.

Louise recently told the Sun that she had been back in the studio, after she decided to “rework some of my original tracks”. She continued: “I can’t wait to be back on stage performing all of the hits and my favourite covers.”

This news comes just weeks before she makes her debut as Sally Bowles in the touring cast of Cabaret, which also stars Will Young as the Emcee – a role that previously gained him an Olivier nomination.

Although speculation is rife that Louise’s marriage to footballer Jamie Redknapp is on the rocks, it seems that her personal confidence has soared since she took her place centre stage in Strictly last year. Perhaps reaching the finals with her professional dance partner Kevin Clifton gave her a taste for the spotlight again, and encouraged her to revisit her primary passion – music.

“Pop music was my first love,” she says in her Under The Bridge bio. “Performing is a part of me and I’m very excited to be announcing this show.”

We’re excited too, Louise, and dying to hear some of the hinted-at new material…
