Kale-and-ginger-smoothieThinking about going on a smoothie detox? It’s not all bland, as there’s lots of delicious smoothies you whip up at home. Have a go at making this kale smoothie, which has a hint of ginger to give it a kick.

SERVES – 1

PREP – 10 MINS

 

1/2 ripe banana, peeled and frozen

225g frozen blueberries

2 tsp ginger, peeled and finely grated

225g kale leaves, loosely packed

225g unsweetened almond milk

1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp to 1 tablespoon agave syrup

 

1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth.

2. If necessary, add more almond milk to help your blender process the frozen fruit.
