She recently showed off her ‘mummy tummy’ on Instagram, but there’s no denying that TV presenter Davina McCall is in fabulous shape. The mum-of-two regularly posts snaps of her healthy diet and intense workout regime, but she has revealed to Woman that she occasionally slips us just like the rest of us!
“At Easter, I fell off the wagon in terms of being sugar-free and it was quite hard to give up sugar again,” she revealed.
But it seems that it wasn’t long before the 49-year-old was back on track, even ditching diet drinks after reading up on some new research.
“I recently read an article which was a complete revelation to me. It was research on diet drinks. I stopped drinking them the day I read it. I have a feeling that the sweetness of f the diet drinks was keeping my lust for sugar alive. And since I’ve stopped, I’ve not craved sugar at all.”
And when it comes to exercise, Davina is just as committed.
“If I don’t workout I lose energy and I don’t feel as good about myself. I get a real buzz from it, but sometimes I have to get up at 5am to squeeze it in around my work and around being a mum and a wife. I don’t think I’m addicted to exercise, but what I am addicted to is feeling good about myself and the confidence it gives me.”
