There's a gin train coming to London
Think all the glitz and glamour of the Orient Express. With gin.
Yes, you heard us right, after the success of the gin hotel, the gin cruise and even the gin school, the latest gin-ovation (sorry, we couldn’t resist) is a gin-themed vintage train that will roll into Victoria Station later this month.
On arrival, guests will be treated to a cheeky welcome G&T to get the fun started, but it’s once the journey begins that the magic really happens.
Leaving the busy city behind, Tanqueray No. Ten’s ‘The Dinner’ (or what we’re calling The Gin Express!) will treat its riders to stunning views of the British countryside, while being served an assortment of culinary delights. Each dish will be inspired by the botanicals in Tanqueray No. Ten gin – fancy!
But the gin-related fun doesn’t stop there. There’s also a martini-making masterclass and the brand’s gin historian Joanne McKerchar, who will chat about the heritage of the gin and Charles Tanqueray himself. We have it on very good authority that Charles was a big fan of luxury train travel, and after hearing how good gin-themed train travel can be we don’t blame him!
Once the experience is over, guests will be treated to a special gift to take home with them.
But as delightful as this experience sounds, it doesn’t come cheap.
A ride on ‘The Diner’ will cost guests £450.The event is happening on the 11 May, but we’re guessing it’s going to sell out quick. So if you fancy it, you better get signed up!
