Step to the beat:

If you want to power up your walk, then download the Spotify Running app (available for free on iPhone and Android). Although it’s usually used for running, this clever piece of software can help you maintain the optimum walking pace.

Simply download Spotify and pick ‘Running from the menu. Next choose your preferred music genre, then start walking and your phone accelerometer will help select tunes that match your pace to help power you on. The app works with speeds of 140+ beats per minute (bpm) – so think brisk walk, rather than leisurely stroll. Over time, the app will automatically select trakcs based on your music history. Genius!
