Is having a large bust causing you problems in the style stakes? Don't hide them away, with these top tips you can show off your best assests in style.

Start with the basics

The key to getting your clothes to fit you properly is wearing a correctly fitting bra. Even if you are certain what size you are, it’s always a good idea to get measured by a fitting expert everytime you purchase a new bra. A great choice for everyday wear is a t-shirt bra or smoothing bra, and although they might be a tad more expensive choose styles that have been designed to support a large chest.

Avoid ruffles

Stay clear of tops with any ruffle detail, this will just add extra volume to your bust area, making you appear larger.

The perfect neck line

When it comes to choosing necklines opt for a v-neck or a plunge (if you dare) this will elongate your top half and draw the eye downwards.

Seperates Vs the dress

When shopping look out for separate pieces rather than just a dress. Having a large bust normally means you will be different sizes on your top and bottom half. This sometimes proves very problematic when trying to find that perfect fit. If you do prefer to wear dresses an a-line or fluted hem dress can balance out a larger chest.

Avoid double breasted jackets

Double breasted coats and blazers can look quite unflattering on a large bust so be sure to steer clear! Sleeveless blazers are great alternative as there are no lapels to sit awkwardly on your chest.

Cinch in your waist

It’s important to highlight your waist, more so if you are petite. Wearing baggy style tops that ‘hang’ off your boobs – will leave you ending up looking like you have a much larger stomach than you actually do.

The right stripe

Wearing vertical stripes on your top half will lengthen your upper body and slim your torso therefore making your chest appear smaller.
