Whenever we are looking for the best supermarket wine Lidl is one of our first stops. Last month it launched its own version of Aperol, Bitterol, which costs half the price, and they’re a brilliant place to pick up a budget bottle of red, rose or white, too.
So it’s no surprise that the budget supermarket has a corking offer on prosecco for the bank holiday.
If you are looking to for a way to celebrate the long weekend with a big crowd, and want to pop some bottles without breaking the bank, read on…
Lidl are offering six bottles of its own brand prosecco, Allini, for just £20 – that’s just £3.33 each!
The catch is that you have to buy a full case, so can’t buy the bottles individually for this great price. But, just because you have to buy all six at once doesn’t mean you have the drink them all (or you could do, no judgement here).
You could easily spilt the deal with a friend or family member and pay £10 each for three bottles, which is pretty decent. Especially as this fizz usually costs £5.79 a bottle.
In terms of the taste, Lidl describes the prosecco in question as ‘fresh’ with a ‘pear-scented fruit’ and ‘highly moreish (you don’t need to tell us!) This prosecco is a little drier than others on the market.
Sadly, the offer is only available for two days, so you’ll have to be quick off the mark to take advantage of this great deal. Head down to your local store on August 26 or 27 if you want to bag yourself this bargain.
The deal was flagged on the Facebook page, ‘Prosecco Watch‘ where users have dubbed this offer ‘the bargain of the century’. Several Facebook users commented that it could be worth stocking up for Christmas because the offer is that good! We like your thinking…
