Jerk barbecue sauce gives this old family favourite, sausage and beans, a new twist.

SERVES 4 – PREP 5 MINS – COOK 20 MINS

2 x 400g cans baked beans

4tbsp jerk barbecue sauce

6 American-style hot dogs, halved

12 small sweet pickled onions, drained and halved

 

 

 

 

1 Heat the oven to  200C, Gas 6. Put the beans and barbecue sauce into an ovenproof casserole.

2 Add the hot dogs and pickled onions. Stir to combine.

3 Heat in the oven for 20 mins until piping hot. Alternatively, heat al the ingredients in a saucepan on the hob for 10 mins
