The Suits star was forced to delete a photo of Meghan...
Meghan Markle has certainly had her life turned upside down since she became Prince Harry’s girlfriend.
But it appears her relationship is also affecting her Suits co-star, Patrick J Adams, who now admits he has to be much more mindful of what he posts online.
The actor admitted he was recently forced to delete a photo he posted online of Meghan kissing him on the cheek.
Despite him insisting the snapshot was innocent and taken long before Meghan’s romance with Harry blossomed, he was still forced to remove it from his social media feeds after it was “twisted into something totally different”.
Speaking to Esquire magazine about his love-hate relationship with social media, he said: “I’m not good at it, I overthink every post that I put out and the ramifications and who’ll be listening and how it’ll be received.
“I posted this old photo I had found of Meghan and I on set. I went to bed, and woke up in the morning and realised ‘Oh, yeah. I live in a world where you can’t post things about Meghan.’
“I had this onslaught of people retweeting the thing, people thinking it was a recent picture, and I just thought, ‘What the hell is going on?'”
He added: “It was such an innocent moment of sentimentality that was twisted into something totally different. It made me feel like… why put myself through this?
“We’re like brother and sister, it’s not like it was lurid or anything, but it just became a story that people wanted to talk about.”
Meanwhile, rumours have been circulating that an engagement is on the horizon for Meghan and Harry.
It was recently reported that the Canadian actress has finally met the Queen with an alleged source telling Us Weekly, “It went well. It’ll no doubt be the first of many encounters.”
