Katie's shock admission follows the very sad news of her mothers terminal illness.

The past few weeks have been incredibly trying for mother-of-five Katie Price.

Just days after announcing that she is divorcing her husband of four years, Kieran Hayler, following his alleged affair, the former glamour model made another incredibly sad admission – revealing her mother has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Katie revealed the very moving news that her mother had been diagnosed with incurable lung disease – Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis – on social media. The condition is one in which the lungs become scarred, eventually leading to increasing respiratory problems.

However, sadly this was not the end of Katie’s bad luck. On today’s Loose Women, the 39-year-old panel regular revealed another blow to her personal life.

Joined by her mum Amy during today’s show, the pair discussed how they’ve been digesting their recent misfortune.

Introducing the hard hitting news to the live audience, Katie shockingly shared that just four days before she had found out about her estranged husband’s alleged affair, she had suffered a miscarriage.

Katie shares, ‘I had a miscarriage four days before [the news had broken]. On the Monday I had a miscarriage and then four days later I found out and now this one [pointing at her mum].’

Katie’s fellow Loose Women panellists replied that, while they had known about her tragic miscarriage behind the scenes, they were surprised she had been so open with the audience.

Katie and her mother remained candid throughout the segment of the show, with Amy emotionally sharing that she is determined not to die until Katie ‘gets her life together.’

‘I’m not going to peg off until she’s settled,’ she said, before saying to Katie, ‘I think its about time you got yourself together properly and took life more seriously and be settled.’

The grandmother of Katie’s five children then emotionally revealed that she has plans to leave a series of letters for the brood, so her influence will still remain in their lives.

Sending Katie, Amy and family our kindest thoughts during this incredibly tumultuous time.
