Katie Price has undeniably been facing some difficult times lately, with the news that her mother is suffering from a terminal lung disease.

The reality star was also left heartbroken when it was revealed that husband Kieran had cheated on her yet again – just three years after his confession that he’d slept with two of her best friends.

She’s also recently faced terrifying threats to her children’s lives, leaving her forced to postpone her tour.

And now, sadly it seems that yet more bad news has been thrown the way of the Pricey.

The Loose Women star took to her Instagram recently to reveal the devastating news that one of her horses had been killed in a freak accident at her home, leaving her “devastated”.

Katie posted a terrifying image of the car that had hit hers and one of her friends horses, after they escaped from their field and ran out into the road.

She explained to followers, “Last night our friends horses including one of ours escaped from their field and ran onto the Road we are devastated 😩.”

Heartbreakingly, Katie revealed that one of her five beloved horses was killed in the horrific accident.

And she quickly took to Instagram to hit out at online trolls who shockingly, had shared a picture of her dead horse on Facebook.

She wrote, ‘We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car, and don’t appreciate that someone was circulating pictures of our horse dead in the road and put on Facebook!’

Last night our friends horses including one of ours escaped from their field and ran onto the Road we are devastated 😩. We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car and don't appreciate that someone was circulating pictures of our horse dead in the road and put on Facebook! Thank god the driver of this car was very lucky and escaped and wish him well, police were amazing and so was the local community and thank them all ! Our friends other 4 horses thank god are alive with a couple of them injured and are still being treated by the vet and will be ok ! We are in shock still and reminds me again of the time in Argentina when I was involved in a horrific car accident when the car I was in killed two horses that died in my arms 😓😩

Katie also reassured that the driver of the car luckily managed to escape from the wreckage unharmed.

‘Thank god the driver of this car was very lucky and escaped and wish him well. Police were amazing and so was the local community and thank them all!’

Mum-of-five Katie also shared that the rest of her friends horses had also been injured in the freak accident. However, she revealed that luckily, they were in good hands after being treated by a vet.

‘Our friends other 4 horses thank god are alive with a couple of them injured and are still being treated by the vet and will be ok !’

She also reflected on the time she and ex-husband Leandro Pena were caught in a similar, terrifying incident. In Argentina, the former couple were also in a car when they hit two horses on the road.

39-year-old Katie has made no secret of her love for her horses and all things equestrian over the years, heading out on regular rides with her animals at home.

In the past, she’s revealed that her children also seem to be following in her footsteps with a passion for horse riding.

Speaking to Surrey Life, she said, “I’d never push them into riding if they didn’t seem keen. But at the moment all three of them do seem to share my passion.

“Harvey has been riding for some time he does it at school. Junior absolutely loves it and I bought him his first pony at Christmas a lovely little Welsh grey called Moonie. Princess is only two but loves being around horses and having the occasional ride with a lead rein.”
