It seems the Duchess of Cambridge really *was* destined for royal life.
An eerily prophetic video clip was recently uncovered, showing the now-Duchess performing in a school play at the age of 13.
In the video – filmed in 1995 – Catherine is told by a fortune-teller character that she will marry a man who is rich and handsome.
Not only that, but her future husband is also predicted to whisk 13-year-old Catherine off to London.
And in perhaps the most prophetic twist of them all, the Duchess’s husband in the play is named William. So spooky!
The footage – obtained by ABC News – shows a teenage Catherine starring in what appears to be the lead role, in a play at St Andrew’s Preparatory School in Buckhold, Berkshire.
The character of the palm reader coincidentally tells a young Catherine, “This is a most lucky hand.”
He then tells her she is soon to meet a “handsome man, a rich gentleman”. To which Catherine’s character enthusiastically responds, “It is all I ever hoped for!”
The fortune-teller also tells the Duchess’s character that this handsome man will fall in love with her – and marry her.
She then asks,”Will he take me away from here”, to which the palm reader replies, “Yes, to London”
Later on in the video clip, a young boy – who looks remarkably like the young Prince, in another strange twist – asks for her hand in marriage.
She then says, “Yes, oh yes dear William.”
So it’s hard to deny that the production plays out remarkably similarily to Catherine’s own, real life!
Of course, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s love story is well known by now.
Catherine moved from Berkshire to St Andrews in Scotland, to attend university. And it was there that she met the future King, Prince William.
After a long relationship, the couple announced their engagement in November 2010. And they were then married in April 2011, at Westminster Abbey. Like the play, they then moved to Kensington Palace – in London.
In December 2012, it was confirmed that Catherine and William were expecting their first child, welcoming Prince George in July 2013.
The pair welcomed daughter Charlotte in May 2015 – and are now eagerly awaiting their third baby, due next month.
