The queen’s favourite tipple is Dubonnet on the rocks with a measure of gin which is our inspiration for this a lovely long refreshing drink. Bound to become a new British classic – this is a modern day sangria recipe!
several sprigs of thyme
75cl bottle of Dubonnet
lemonade or sparkling elderflower drink
1. Quarter a watermelon, and cut into small pieces.
2. Put into a large glass jug with 1 orange, cut into wedges and several sprigs of thyme.
3. Pour a 75cl bottle of Dubonnet into a jug, add 300ml gin and a few scoops of ice.
4. Top up the jug with lemonade or elderflower cordial. Cheers!
